McKinney Firefighter Combat Challenge Team

McKinney Firefighter Combat Challenge Team

We have had the opportunity to support the McKinney Firefighter Combat Challenge team for quite a while. They have proven to be a successful team on and off the course and continue to support their community. While being a part of the fire department and training for Combat Challenge events they have been able to support organizations such as the Special Olympics. More recently, they have raised money for a young girl named Emily with aplastic anemia in need of a bone marrow transplant. The team has put together a calendar for sale that supports their team  and allows them to help Emily as well. If you are interested in purchasing a calendar please contact us and we would be happy to get you some! If you would like more information on Emily’s March for a Match, please visit her Facebook page here....
Garland Firefighters Association helps local families

Garland Firefighters Association helps local families

Each year the Garland Firefighters Association invites local families to participate in a Christmas Shopping Spree. We were excited to have an opportunity to be a part of the 29th annual event and help 100 kids get a Christmas they deserve. We arrived to find hot chocolate, coffee and donuts with big smiles from the Garland Firefighters. Santa made his grand appearance and got the kids all excited as well! Each family was paired up with a helper such as a firefighter or member of the community. It was a great way to include various groups and people from all areas of the city. The first family we helped had a boy and an girl, they knew what they wanted and we’re so happy. The second family had 3 boys and a sweet baby girl. They did a great job of budgeting their amount and in the end they took their money and got a gift they could all share as brothers. A tablet! They were so happy to have something as cool as a tablet for Christmas. Thank you Garland Firefighters Association for putting this event together and changing young lives in the community. We appreciate the opportunity to serve alongside Garland!...

Garland Firefighters Association Coats for Kids

Garland Firefighters Association Coats for Kids

We had the opportunity to help with one of our favorite traditions this past week at a Coats for Kids event. Each year, the Garland Firefighters Association provides winter coats to children at a local elementary school. The department coordinates with Operation Warm in a nationwide effort to provide new coats to families in need. “In 2012, Operation Warm partnered with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF). Since then “firefighters have become the heroes on the frontlines of Operation Warm’s mission”- Operation Warm. We enjoyed greeting the children and helping them pick out a brand new coat. They were so excited to be able to be able to choose a coat in their favorite color as well. Serving alongside the Garland Fire Department to help this community was a blessing to our team and we look forward to this event every year. If you would like to donate a coat or get involved in this program please visit Operation...

Supporting the Flower Mound Fire Department

Mr Restore coordinated “Biking for Bears” in Flower Mound to help donate teddy bears to local fire departments. The stuffed animals were donated to the local fire departments and will be given to young children that are victims of disasters, such as tornadoes, fires, or car accidents. Clint of Mr Restore explains, “Mr Restore deals with the aftermath of fires, floods, and tornadoes on a consistent basis, and we’ve seen how difficult these situations can be for families. We just want to give these kids a little comfort after they are thrown into complex and frightening circumstances.” Each person participating in the event donated a brand new stuffed bear. Mr Restore sponsors many local charities and events, including FCS/Rouse women’s cycling team. We understand how important it is to support  local businesses and charities we are consistently trying to find new ways to give back. News Source*...
