COVID-19: How to Find Assistance

While it is normal to feel uneasy or concerned about your family's safety and the safety of our community during this time, please know that our wonderful community is coming to together to support each other. There are many volunteers, relief organizations, and associations coming together. While the cases may seem like a lot, Dallas has reported that thousands of tests have been negative!

Mr. Restore has always been a supporter of the community and we love to help in any way we can. If you need assistance or would like to volunteer to help, check out some of the resources below.

Testing Sites

There are multiple sites that are testing for COVID-19 in Dallas/Fort Worth area. If you are exhibiting symptoms, you can go to the Ellis Davis Field House at 9191 S Polk St. Dallas, Texas 75232 or the American Airlines center at 2500 Victory Ave. Dallas, Texas 75201. Mental Health Support

If you or someone you know is experiencing anxiety, depression or any mental health issues related to the pandemic a support center has been created. A phone line has been set up as well as a website for more information here.

Food and Grocery Assistance

The North Texas Food Bank has created an internal task force to work specifically on providing food to those in need during the Coronavirus crisis. They have partnered with other food providers in the area and have switched to a boxed-food method. Contact them if you know someone who needs assistance or you would like to donate.

Many schools in our community are providing meals for all students under 18 years old. The Texas Education Agency has created a helpful app where you can find schools that are offering meals and what time they are serving here.

Employment Assistance

The Texas Workforce Commission understands that many people in Dallas/Fort Worth, have lost their jobs due to Covid-19. Residents can log into WorkinTexas.com for assistance. Each day, hundreds of jobs are posted online that can be worked from home on a computer or have been deemed "essential." If you are an employer and have opportunities available, use this link to upload your job description to help those in our states find remote work.

They have also posted a list of resources, including shared work programs and how to apply for financial aid.
